Our financial evolution.
In 1986 Pioneer’s founders recognized a real need within the market and started an investment company in Israel that provided international investment services to expatriates. A truly innovative concept at the time, it became clear that their personal, boutique-style services would suit other investors, and the company quickly ventured into the South African and Latin American markets.
By 1988, Pioneer had caught the attention of South African mutual fund giant, Old Mutual. Recognizing the company’s ability to bring international investment solutions to local markets, Old Mutual International purchased a large stake in Pioneer. In 1999, Old Mutual took the strategic decision to demutualize. At the same time, Pioneer facilitated a management buy-out. Thereafter, a group of private international investors led by the highly respected investment entrepreneur, Monty Hilkowitz, acquired Old Mutual’s interest in Pioneer.
Over the past three decades, Pioneer has evolved into a global financial services firm, offering industry expertise in Financial Planning, Wealth and Investment Management service and Family Office services.
